For making requests, the following rules apply:
YOU MUST HAVE 20 OR MORE POSTS TO MAKE A REQUEST.
- If you have the picture you want rendered, you MUST supply a link to the SITE (not a hotlink to the picture) where the picture is from originally. Photo hosting sites such as Photobucket, Tinypic, and Imageshack, are not acceptable UNLESS the source is yourself (e.g. screensots).
- Blog sites and social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace are not acceptable as original sources.
- Do not offer more PR points than you have at the time you post your request. If you do so, it will be denied automatically.
- Be patient with your request and do not spam everywhere or bump your request asking when it will be done. Remember, people are doing this for free in their spare time for you!
- There is a limit of 4 render requests (This doesn't mean 4 request topics, but 4 images that need to be cut) per week.
- Do not post images to be rendered from art community sites such as DeviantArt and CGTalk unless you can provide documentation of permission to use the artwork.
- Scans from Minitokyo/Animepaper may be rendered freely. However, PROOF OF WRITTEN PERMISSION IS REQUIRED from the artist for created works such as wallpapers and CG work unless otherwise stated by the artist.
- All topics will be approved by staff before they become publicly visible to be sure requests follow these rules. If the rules are not followed, the topic will be deleted and the author notified of this.
- Do not put comments in render request threads. They will be deleted and you may be warned.
- DO NOT edit your original post under ANY circumstances once approved. If you do so, your request thread will be deleted.
- Do not post a request under someone else's thread. It will be deleted and your warning level will be raised.
- If your request is taken and you do not respond to the taker within 7 days of his/her last post, your request will be closed without notice.
- Please do not spam your way up to 20 posts. The staff will check your recent posts if you are just above the requirements for this. If your posts prove to be spam, your request will be postponed for 3 days.
For taking requests, the following rules apply:
- Before starting to render what the person requested, be sure to make a post stating that you're going to do the request, so no one else wastes their time doing the request while you've already done it.
- Anyone who takes and finishes a request will receive about 30 PR points per render. The reward will increase/decrease depending upon the difficulty of the render. Note: Points are awarded by an admin, but requesters can offer points for a render if they wish.
- There is a limit of two (2) render requests per person per day. This helps share the rendering responsibilities amongst the community members. Only Render Staff are exempt from this limit.
- Please do NOT complete a request someone has already claimed. Your results will be removed and you may be disciplined as a "Render Jumper".
- You will have 1 week to complete the request or at least post how long it will take you to complete within a week. If no response, staff will re-open to all takers.
- If you take a request having multiple images to be rendered and take 2 one day and more another day, do not edit your first completed post. Make another post so we can see that it was completed on more than one day.
