She was quite beautiful in that movie. She was only 18 too but she looks older.

Best opening credits ever.

'I’m afraid.'
'That’s nothing to be ashamed of,' Major Major counseled him kindly. 'We’re all afraid.'
'I’m not ashamed,’ Yossarian said. ‘I’m just afraid.'

I honestly didn't expect 500 days of summer to be that good. But it was actually pretty poignant.

Yeah, definitely not better than Oldboy. Had it's ups and downs. Had strong character development and it was certainly an interesting view and take on the developments that may you may go through psychologically when becoming/being a vampire. Shows how it could change you. But like I said, it had it's ups and downs. Much better than the garbage vampire flicks they're pumping out these days, except for LTROI of course.

I quite enjoyed this. On the right day at the right price I'd buy it on DVD.

Tokyo Gore Police will definitely hit cult status in Japan, it's so different.

Don't get me wrong, not by any means a good movie, but there were some scenes that honestly surprised me with the way they were shot, soundtrack, etc. especially after having no expectations at all. Go ahead and flame me all you want, as I don't care, I'll redeem myself later.

F*ck. I don't get it. I want to get it, but I just don't. The visuals and cinematography were stunning, but I just didn't understand.

its normal. i still dont fully get it either. there are some interpretations out there that can help you out. keep in mind it's a semi autobiographical set of muddled memories of Tarkovsky's life, in mixed order. and it doesnt help that the same actors play different people in different time frames. btw did you also think the hair washing scene was creepy as f***? cuz i did.

speaking of tarkovsky.

Yeah, I understand the idea of the film, but the film itself and how it was played out totally lost me. And definitely the fact that actors played multiple roles really f*cked with me. And the Russian names. Damn me and my simplistic American mind haha. I must say, I do like how it messes with my head like that.

And yes, the hair washing scene was probably one of the greatest and creepiest scenes. My eyes were wide. I also liked the wind ripple effect in the fields scene, when the doctor was walking away in the beginning. The scene with the intense music and the steam from the coffee cup on the table disappearing really creeped me out. It was intense. Simple, but effective.

Also, the grenade scene had my heart beating 10 times faster than normal haha

F*CK I LOVED THIS MOVIE.

i dont think anyone fully and completely understands the film, but i do love reading what people's interpretations of it are, and it's one of those films where i get certain emotions out of scenes, rather than concrete knowledge of what exactly is happening. but at the same time you know that there is so much there that you are missing, it's incredible.

my favorite scene is the long ass single take of inside the house, with the glass falling and rolling, moving to a mirror reflection, moving to outside the house into the burning house in the rain.

glad you liked it though. <3
