The colors and effects in the first tag are nice -- I like them. The only thing that's bugging me about this tag is the blending. Look carefully, and you can see that the left side doesn't really blend into the right side. (The saturation and brightness differences is what I'm referring to.) Try to make the transition smooth opposed to abrupt.

The second one looks cool. Definitely go with V2 on that one. The only thing that's bugging me about it is the blending. Like the first, the left side doesn't transition well into the right.
