Actually, in Ocarina of Time, when Ganondorf took over, princess Zelda took on the Sheik identity to hide herself.

In the manga Sheik is Zelda in disguise. But Impa says: "Live as a Sheikah BOY". Come on guys: look the eyes color: RED. Zelda have Blue eyes, if I'm not in error... However, there is also SSBM that suppose Sheik is Zelda in disguise, but she can be Sheik only with a magic. (sorry for bad english, i'm italian xDDD) - Oh, VERY NICE RENDER
